Thursday, September 26, 2013 - Investigating Medical Fraud with the NICB

Please join us for a presentation by Jim Gillen on an overview of the NICB and medical investigations. James C. Gillen, SSA, has been involved with criminal investigations for the past forty three years.  SSA Gillen has worked with the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) for the last twenty-three years as a Special Agent.  SSA Gillen has been involved with investigating medical fraud, auto theft and insurance fraud within the State of Colorado and Wyoming. SSA Gillen specializes in investigating gang and organized crime rings.  SSA Gillen, along with the FBI and Denver Police Department, developed the Colorado Organized Crime, Auto Theft, and Insurance Fraud Task Force (COCAI).  Prior to joining NICB, SSA Gillen worked as a Special Agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and retired from the military after twenty years of service.  He has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology.
