Please join us for a presentation by agent David Lopez and Tammy Krebs with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Gaming and Organized Crime Unit. Agent Lopez joined the CBI in May 2016, and is an Agent in the Gaming and Organized Crime Unit. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology with a Minor in Business and he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College of Denver. His work experience includes over five years in the mortgage industry, and over 7 years as a sworn Peace Officer, including work as a Probation Officer, as a Financial Criminal Investigator with the Colorado Division of Gaming, and as an Agent with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Agent Krebs joined CBI in September 2014. She is an Agent with the Gaming and Organized Crime Unit and formerly for the Identity Theft/Fraud/Cyber Crime Unit. She is a graduate of Regis University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Tammi has been a sworn officer for ten years. Before joining CBI, she was a Criminal Investigator at the Colorado Lottery and a Deputy at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
You will learn about:
- The elements of gambling, how it is regulated, & where in the state it is legal
- The reporting requirements for the gambling establishments, what type on information is being reported and to whom the information available
- What types of fraud occur in the casino’s or what kinds of things you investigate

Check-in will begin at 11:15 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 am. The presentation begins at noon. The estimated meeting time is approximately one and a half hours.
The cost is $25 for chapter members, $30 nonmembers, $15 for nonmember students with a valid student ID and $10 for member students with a valid student ID. Only cash or checks will be accepted at the door.
